EASY BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICHES
Are you craving BBQ, but you don’t have a grill? These Easy BBQ Chicken Sandwiches take around 30 minutes to cook and are priced at two dollars a piece, a rapid, affordable, and delicious method to satisfy the BBQ craving. Keep the recipe you made in your pocket, as you’ll find yourself pulling it out regularly for quick and easy dinners during the week!
This recipe uses my Easy barbecue Chicken recipe I designed as an “a la carte” meat alternative for families trying to feed meat eaters and vegetarians. Alongside making this easy BBQ chicken to other recipes, it can be used to create sandwiches and wraps like this one!
COLESLAW OPTIONS
I enjoy the combination of BBQ as well as ranch dressing. So I created an easy “ranch slaw” for this sandwich using bagged coleslaw mix (shredded carrots and cabbage) and thick ranch dressing. If you’re not a fan of ranch dressing (many people don’t), Try the simple, delicious creamy coleslaw version instead. It’s also well with barbecue!
OTHER BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICH TOPPING IDEAS
I made My BBQ Chicken Sandwiches essential since that’s the way I cook, but If you’re looking to go extravagant, these are a few alternatives to add to your sandwich:
Pickles
French Fried Onions
Cheddar cheese
Fresh red onions
Sliced avocado
Bacon
Pineapple slices
WHAT KIND OF BBQ SAUCE IS BEST?
It is possible to use almost any kind of BBQ sauce to make this recipe, and I would suggest using whatever flavor or brand you prefer the most. I’m not a huge fan of BBQ sauce, so I just used what I had available, the Kroger brand Hickory Smoke-flavored BBQ sauce. I also enjoy Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauces, another cost-effective alternative. You can also create your homemade BBQ sauce.
WHAT TO SERVE WITH BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICHES
I’m a massive fan of sweet potatoes and BBQ, So I am an enormous fan of spicy Sweet Potato Fries as a snack to the BBQ chicken sandwiches. Thin-cut steak Fries (and perhaps also some comeback sauce) are also great as a side. A creamy potato salad will always be an excellent accompaniment to spicy BBQ sauce. Or, if you want something slightly more refreshing and vibrant to add some zing to your meal, Try the Cowboy Caviar! Try my latest favorite, Loaded Smashed.

Two green onions cut ($0.20)

The cooking oil should be heated in a large pan at a medium temperature. Swirl it around when hot to ensure the oil is evenly coated on the skillet. Then add the chicken seasoned with salt and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the thighs are cooked and nicely browned To perfection.
Take the chicken off the grill and then brush BBQ sauce on the chicken’s sides.
Mix the coleslaw, chopped green onions, and ranch dressing into the bowl. Mix until everything is well and evenly coated with sauce.
To construct the sandwiches, arrange one portion of BBQ chicken in each bun. Top with a generous scoop of ranch slaw. Serve immediately.
